  1. Tommy, Dave sent me the link to your WEB site so I took a look around. Very classy. I noticed that I missed you in April in Longview. I enjoyed the RockaBilly legends concert last year. Hope you're somewhere near home before another year floats by. God Bless, Gary Mersereau

  2. Hi Tommy, Remember the Walking Cane in Omaha, Ne (1971-72) I was a young cocktail waitress trying to find my way back then. Enjoyed your music then and still do. Although I've been divorce for 15 years I have been blessed. Hope you get to the Phoenix area so I'd be able to enjoy your show in person. God Bless, Rose McNabb

  4. Tommy:
What a thrill it was for me to meet you in 1975 at Fan Fair. You and your band were playing Loretta Lynn and her Coal Miners band in a softball game. Then to see you perform on the ABC_dot records show was amazing.Barbara Mandrell and Don Williams also sang.
I dont like most of whats called music today. Its bland with hardly any creativity involved. The songwriting the same.
You and your music were superb.Talent was the thing in your era.Today its just who looks good in jeans be they male or female.Sad I tell you that theirs not much variety today. The current CMA Entertainer of the year is a good example."Bubblegum Country not even at its best!!"
Recently I bought a cd of 36 country gosple songs you recorded.Very heartfelt.Great job!!
I missed seeing you when you played the Trailways Lounge in Orlando,Fl late 70s or early 80s.Bet that was a great evening.
Glad I am not a trucker these days.Too much political and sports talk to bore you coast to coast. Not enough great artists anymore.Today great they might be commercially but artistically mediocre.
Your music was magic to the ear.Be proud of what you gave and also accomplished in your long career.

I was talking with my dad the other day and we talked about writing songs and playing his guitar, and he told me about a song he wrote while he was in the Navy. He and his friend use to play on an aircraft carrier (he was an aircraft mechanic) they would play for whoever would listen to them. He said that he wrote "I Don't Know You Anymore" and he and his buddy would play that and "Congratulations Gwen" (that was a song that his friend wrote). He said this all happened in 1949.
I love talking to my dad about his Navy days.
And was just wondering if you knew about this.

    Thanks

  7. T.O.,
I have known you and your band since I was just a little girl in WI. One night your band even came over to my parent's house for dinner and became friends with them. I'd like to know where are the boys (men) at now? Lonnie and Darrell? The last time I saw all of you was in a little town in Arkansas, where we live still.
It's been over 30 years since I met you all and just wanted to say hi, Thank You for all of the great music and for always dedicating "Little Bo Peep" to me at all of the concerts I was able to attend. You and the band made a little girl's dreams come true! Thanks again~~ xoxooxo

  8. Hello Tommy,
I remember you from Fan Fair when I was a little girl. My Father was a sculptor and made statues of country musiic stars. Dorothy Overstreet talked my parents into making a business out of his work. One time you were signing autographs at a booth down the row from ours and I, being a small child, always liked wearing cowboy outfits, and when you were done signing autographs you stepped into the aisle and said "hey cowboy, come give me some lovin'." I ran to you and you picked me up and we disappeared for a while and you spoiled me rotten while we were gone. I was just wondering if you remember me and my parents. I tell my family now about you and what an impression you made on a little girl. Thank you.

  9. Tommy,

My dad (Allen Howard) played in your band back before I was born. I always heard your name growing up and thought I might reach out to you. My dad passed away 2 years ago and since then I have been contacting many of his old music friends to learn more about his adventure before he settled down and had a wife and kids.

It would be great to hear any stories you might have kept in your memory over the years.

    Regards,

    Elliot Howard (elliot22@gmail.com)

  10. TO: Do you remember when Smiley Roberts was tossed in your pool during a BBQ you held for fans at your home in Brentwood, TN in the early 80's? Sure miss those days. Bill Zacher.

  11. Hello Tommy, I want to thank you for the get well card, picture, and book you sent me. I'm Denny Mayer and you got my information from Phil Thomas. It was great to hear from you. I've always enjoyed your music. Back in the old days I had a band called "SouthWind". We used to do "Rocky Mountain Music" which is still a good tune. Well, thanks again for the stuff and it's good to see your still doin it.
    Denny Mayer

  12. Oops. "Rocky Mountain Music" is an Eddie Rabbit tune. Please forgive. I'm not myself these days. To many drugs from the operations! Anyway I look forward to reading your memoir. Hope to meet you some day.
